National Photography Contest Result'10

The SPS (Sylhet Phototographic Society) 2nd National Photography Contest drew an overwhelming response, with more than 1,500 pics flooding our mailbox. The contest, open to all amateur & professional photographers from all over the country.

Congratulations to all those who participated and who made this a truly satisfying experience for all of us at SPS.

The contest was announced in may 2010 and participants were given a time-frame of nearly 2 months . Though the initial response was slow, as the deadline drew nearer, the pace quickened and by July, SPS received entries that left the staff amazed.

The six judges (Nizam Uddin Laskar, Dr, Rashid-un-Nabi, Hasan Saifuddin Chandan, Mahfuzul Hasan Rana, Abir Abdullah & Munem Wasif) found the evaluation process difficult because they had to choose good pictures and the pictures that just could not be ignored. As they say, a picture is worth more than a thousand words.
